Patience Capital Group ("PCG"), a Singapore-based investment management firm specializing in real estate and private equity, has succeeded the hotel operations of InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8 together with Nomura Real Estate Asset Management Co., Ltd., with the support of Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel Co., Ltd. Mari Takara has been newly appointed as General Manager, and operations under the new structure commenced on April 1, 2026.
Since opening in October 2019, InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8 has been embraced by guests as one of Yokohama Minato Mirai's premier luxury hotels, distinguished by its rare waterfront location surrounded by the sea on three sides and the refined hospitality rooted in Yokohama's unique tradition of blending Western culture. Mari Takara began her hospitality career in 2009 in the rooms division of ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Fukuoka. She subsequently held Director of Rooms positions at multiple IHG Hotels & Resorts properties, leading her teams with distinction. In 2019, she joined the pre-opening team of ANA InterContinental Beppu Resort & Spa, where she progressed through the roles of Director of Rooms, Acting General Manager, and Deputy General Manager before being appointed General Manager. Recognized for her achievements, she was appointed General Manager of Hotel Indigo Karuizawa in 2023, simultaneously overseeing ANA InterContinental Beppu Resort & Spa as Portfolio General Manager, driving strategic initiatives and organizational development across
both properties.
