THE JAPAN RESIDENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES FUND (ASTRO)
Launched in November 2020, the PCG Japan Residential Fund (ASTRO) focuses on acquiring well-located, high-quality residential assets across Central Tokyo and the Greater Tokyo Area.
We seek to transform the overall urban living experience, and in doing so generate new demand in the private housing market.
ASTRO 1
Established in November 2020, ASTRO 1 acquired a total of 21 assets across Central Tokyo and the neighbouring prefectures of Chiba, Kanagawa and Saitama within the Greater Tokyo Area. All 21 properties have been fully divested within the fund term, generating a gross IRR in the high teens.
ASTRO 2
The successor fund (ASTRO 2) seeks to leverage ongoing population growth, increasing demand for rental housing and inflationary pressure by continuing to develop a portfolio of high-quality residential properties mainly throughout the Central and Greater Tokyo Area. This strategy aims to deliver stable, risk-adjusted returns, enhanced by advantageous financing opportunities.
